If you follow me on Facebook you might have noticed a few status updates that just don't quite jive. It says something like " I lost 29 pounds in just 3 weeks using Raspberry." Seriously? I am so annoyed. If you know me at all, you know that I've been hacked!! Ahh! While it's pretty much the most annoying thing ever, it has inspired this here post.
It really made me wonder... who falls for this stuff anyway? 29 pounds in 3 weeks?

Firstly, if I lost 29 pounds I'd be a disgusting skeleton.
Second, it's impossible to lose 29 healthy pounds in 3 weeks. Perhaps if you're huge you can lose that much if you starve yourself. But most of it will be water weight and you'll gain it back just as quickly as you lost it if you don't change your lifestyle.
This brings me to my second point... there are so many hacks out there. Diet pills, cellulite treatments, etc etc. Did you ever notice most of their statistics come with the disclaimer "when paired with a balanced diet and exercise."
Here's the bottom line, if some breakthrough treatment or diet pill motivates you to loose weight through a healthy diet and exercise, go for it. But don't fall for the newest weight loss solution. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Even if it's on my Facebook page (ugh!)....It's a hack!
